When should I replace grill burners?

Quick answer

Replace grill burners when flames are uneven after cleaning, metal is rusted through, holes are enlarged, or you smell gas near the manifold. Minor clogs clean out; structural rust means swap the burner tube — running compromised burners risks flare-ups and CO from incomplete combustion.

Inspection cues

  • Pinholes or scaling rust on stainless/cast burners
  • Yellow sooty flames everywhere after cleaning
  • Burner that will not light in an otherwise working manifold

OEM parts

Match burner part numbers to your model plate. Universal burners fit poorly and void even heat — we can help source OEM kits.
